What should you know as an exhibiting artist?
This year, we are trying to ensure that all artists who apply for the Oxford Studio Tour have access to the information needed to make your weekend a huge success!
Where does this Tour take place

The Tour takes place in locations spread out across Oxford County. Artists set up their work in either the comfort of their own studio, or join with other artists in their homes/businesses.
What should I prep for?

Every artist should take the time to ensure that they have a good selection of work to showcase themselves and increase sales. Make sure that all your work is signed, hang ready (if necessary) and ready to be in a new home!
Promotion

Once you are selected as an artist for the Tour, start promoting! Post out about your studio, your work in progress, your inspiration, and more! Build the hype for the weekend to really engage with visitors!
We will provide some avenues for cohesive promotion, but building your followers depends highly on your work!
Signage

We will provide brochures with maps to all the locations, all artists will be expected to help with the distribution to ensure a successful weekend!
Directional signs will be provided for all studio locations, ensure that all areas are clearly visible and easy for out of towners to find!
If you have any road blocks/ parking issues/ please post and share!
Your Studio

If exhibiting in your own space, clearly mark out the ways visitors can view your work. If you have requirements for removal of shoes etc. place signs and have an extra person there to assist with greeting!
Food/drinks are more than welcome at locations, but please be aware of laws with any alcoholic beverages and do your due diligence.
Payments

Ensure wherever you are located has clearly understood payment methods for visitors. If you are at your home studio, ensure you have means for visitors to make large purchases if necessary!
As well, always ensure you have a way for visitors to carry their work home!
